Start practicing Yoga

Why?: You already know why, but here's the jargon... 

Yoga will help your body align itself for better performance and stability, 
It'll increase your flexibility and tone your body

Secondly: As Yoga changes your physiology - 
 in turn will change your psychology 

So if your life feels a little 'topsy turvy' right now,
or you want to change something,
Practicing Yoga WILL help you

Yoga will also teach you to pause... to create space and prevent
you from making crazy, rash decisions based on emotions
Creating space will help you make better decisions for you.
Creating mental space will help you to decide to do more of what's working 
in your life, and less or move on, from what isn't. 

Practicing Yoga will help you feel more relaxed,
happier and a little more in control

I'm getting older and at 58
 I want to continue to keep or improve my strength and flexibility. 
Also, as a post-menopausal woman - I also want to keep my head straight!
Yoga keeps us smiling, relaxed and in a good place.

I teach what's called 'Functional Yoga'

What's that?
A functional Yoga approach resects, physically..
We are all Unique
You can move differently to me
You can also move differenItly to others
I can move differently to you
... and others can move differently to both of us
We are all different
We are all Amazingly Unique

This means, I teach whilst respecting your unique skeleton, tissue, physiology, 
temperament and motivation that is uniquely yours.

 I'm not interested in what your body's 'Photo Image' looks like 
or whether its Instagram worthy.
I'm only interested in how your body 
FEELS to YOU

At the same time, I'm an accredited Life Coach, 
So I'm also interested in helping you feel better about yourself.

Ashtanga style is hot and demanding

Dynamic Vinyasa Classes
 For those who like to 'Flow' 
moving from one posture to the next with
some challenging poses 

Smooth Flow Classes  
A flow from one posture to the next. 
Strong but smooth

Hatha Classes  
For those who want to work through 
gentle, slower movements.

Yin Classes 
Not a pushover. 
Yin is soft and gentle but works deep
 into the body. Great for relaxation

Chakra Classes 
For those who want some 
Life Coaching built into their practice.

 For those who want specific information
 'How to do a headstand for instance'.

Hitting my 50’s I wanted to keep strong & fit without flogging myself, so I started yoga about 5 years ago.

 I’ve had quite a few teachers in several different venues but I have to say that Manda has a

traditional style that’s for everybody. She’s talented, knowledgeable, funny and her classes

 do not disappoint! Just today I heard a young man in our class say that he didn’t realise

I teach Functional Yoga which means I'm not interested in tying you up like a pretzel.
We're different sizes, different shapes, different heights, different personalities. 
You do you - I'll do me. Over time incredible things happen.
That's my kind of yoga

 
Need a mat?

If you are serious about Yoga and want a good performance mat 
where there is less risk of your hands and feet slipping, plus no 'curly corners', 
I recommend you invest in a good quality rubber mat.
...Costs a bit more (About £100/$200 AU) but well worth it. 

I prefer to look after smaller businesses as my own, but have failed to find a mat as good a quality as
 a Liforme or Lululemon mat  -  both excellent in my opinion.
